Our Journey

A Childhood Hobby

My fascination began with building tiny worlds in jam jars from moss and twigs found in my West Virginia backyard. This early connection to nature laid the foundation for CONNIE S BYRD, a Charleston business born from a simple joy.

The First Commission

A friend asked me to make a terrarium for her office, and the joy it brought her sparked a business idea. It wasn't just about creating; it was about sharing the peaceful escape a miniature ecosystem provides.

Opening the Studio

I officially opened my Charleston-based studio, dedicating my craft to the community. This marked the beginning of our journey as a dedicated terrarium company, focused on quality and connection.

Today

We've created hundreds of unique ecosystems for homes, offices, and galleries, and our passion is still growing. From moss terrariums to complex botanical sculptures, our commitment to artistry and nature endures.
